Entry Point 30 – Lake One is one of the most popular BWCA entry points in the Kawishiwi District, providing access to the Lake One → Insula route and the numbered lakes chain. The entry is located on Fernberg Road east of Ely and is supported by several local outfitters that provide canoe rentals, gear, food packs, permits, and shuttles.
From Ely, take MN Hwy 169 east, which becomes Fernberg Road (County Road 18). Continue about 20 miles east of Ely and turn into the Lake One canoe landing.
